THE TWO WITNESSESS OF REVELATION CHAPTER 11

1) Who are they?

Revelation 11:3 & 6

They are Moses and Elijah

(i) Moses turned water into blood (Exodus 7:20)

(ii) Elijah shut the heaven (1 Kings 17:1; James 5:17-18)

2) How will they re-appear in Israel and in what form?

Revelation 11:7-13

(i) They cannot be re-incarnated, i.e. come again into this world through natural physical birth

(ii) They will come in their resurrected bodies but the Scriptures say they will be killed by the Antichrist beast after the completion of their ministries. Since their resurrected bodies are immune to death, what is the explanation for this puzzling situation?

Answer: They will be assigned to someone here on earth. Is this biblical? Yes, it happened before where Elijah was assigned to John the Baptist (Refer to the article below entitled “Elijah was Assigned to John the Baptist”)

3) Moses and Elijah, the Two Witnesses assigned to only Prophet David Owuor – two persons assigned to one person. Is this biblical? Yes, it happened before where Zechariah and Haggai were assigned to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah

Refer to the vision of Zechariah and Haggai (both were contemporary Prophets who knew each other and were ministering together).

4) Zechariah’s vision of a Golden Lampstand with two Olive Trees on each side of it (Zechariah 4:1-14)

(i) Zechariah 4:2-3 – The Vision

The vision is a prophetic message to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah. He was given the responsibility to lead the people in rebuilding the Temple.

(ii) Zechariah 4:4-10 – Meaning of the Golden Lampstand

The golden lampstand represents the Spirit of God (the seven Spirits of God Revelation 3:1). The rebuilding of the Temple will be completed “Not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord.” In other words, it will not be completed based on Zerubbabel’s human effort alone.

(iii) Zechariah 4:11-14 – Meaning of the Two Olive Trees

The two olive trees represent the two anointed ones, i.e. Zechariah and Haggai as they were the two Prophets supporting him (Zerubbabel) as he led the people in rebuilding the Temple.

Notice that the two olive trees each has a branch that is connected to the golden lampstand from which anointing oil flows out to them (Zechariah 4:12). This means that the two anointed ones were empowered by the Spirit of God.

Timeline of the Rebuilding of the Temple

538 BC: The first batch of Jewish exiles returned from Babylon to Jerusalem in accordance with the decree issued by King Cyrus, the Persian king (Ezra 1).

536 BC:   Led by Zerubbabel (Sheshbazzar was his Babylonian name – Ezra 1:8 & 11), the rebuilding of the Temple begun with the foundation work but hostile neighbours in the surrounding areas forced the Jews to stop the work (Ezra 4).

520 BC: The work resumed after Jehovah God persuaded Zerubbabel through His two Prophets Zechariah & Haggai (Ezra 5 & 6; and the Books of Zechariah & Haggai). Note: In 536 BC, Zechariah & Haggai were just young boys and were not yet Prophets.

516 BC:  The rebuilding of the Temple was finally completed after 4 years of work (Ezra 6:14-15).

5) Prophetic words of Haggai for Zerubbabel (Haggai 2:20-23)

(i) Haggai 2:22

The Lord will overthrow and destroy the Gentile kingdoms.

(ii) Haggai 2:23

Note that Zerubbabel already laid the foundation of the Temple (back in 536 BC) and now (in 520 BC) was again chosen to resume the work. The instructions of Jehovah were first given through Haggai on the 1st day of the 6th month (Haggai 1:1). Then on the 24th day of the 6th month the Spirit of the Lord stirred up Zerubbabel and the Jews, and they resumed the work (Haggai 1:14-15).

Yet, on the 24th day of the 9th month (Haggai 2:10, 18 & 20) the word of the Lord came again to Haggai saying “In that day……….” meaning in the future or end times, the Lord will choose Zerubbabel His servant. Clearly, in this particular prophetic word, Jehovah was not referring to Zerubbabel who was alive at that time but to somebody who will appear in the future who has a ministry like Zerubbabel.

“The Lord…………..will make you like a signet ring,” i.e. the Lord will anoint him (“Zerubbabel”) with great authority in the end time ministry.

6) Who is this future or end times “Zerubbabel, governor of Judah” who is given the responsibility to rebuild the “Temple of God” which is in ruin?

Answer: He is Prophet David Owuor.

His mission is twofold:

(a) Presently to prepare the Gentile church for the Rapture, and

(b) Afterwards to prepare Israel for the Second Coming of their Messiah to Jerusalem.

7) Conclusion

How the vision of Zechariah 4:2-3 is related to Revelation 11:4?

Zechariah’s vision is a type of vision that is described in Revelation 11:4 where there are similarities in the two visions, and the appearance of being link together.

Although in Revelation 11 there is no mention to whom the Two Witnesses are assigned to, the prophetic words of Haggai 2:20-23 seems to link the two visions to imply that the Two Witnesses are assigned to the end times “Zerubbabel.” The linkage is based on the fact that Haggai had prophetic words for both the Zerubbabel who was alive at that time, and the “Zerubbabel” of the future.

So, who is this “Zerubbabel” of the end times? By many signs and wonders, Jehovah God reveals to the Church that Prophet David Owuor is the person.

Note: Jehovah God officially introduced the Two Witnesses, His Two Mightiest Prophets of Moses and Elijah to the Church during the Mega International Conference of Pastors held in Nakuru, Kenya (March 31 – April 1, 2018). The Two Witnesses were lowered down from heaven to the earth bodily. Shockingly, the crowd saw them with their naked eyes and they were also caught live on camera dancing in the sky on a bright sunny day. Then, they proceeded to enter the huge tent where Prophet David Owuor was speaking in the conference. Watch the video here: https://www.repentmalaysia.com/projects-2-4

Finally, notice that in Zechariah’s vision there was only one golden lampstand while in Revelation 11 there is two golden lampstands. Two golden lampstands signifies the doubling of the anointing as the end times ministry is greater.

ELIJAH WAS ASSIGNED TO JOHN THE BAPTIST

Let’s look at these 3 important Prophetic Scriptures

1) Isaiah 40:3-5

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness……..”

This refers to John the Baptist

(i) Matthew 3:1-3

(ii) Mark 1:1-4

(iii) Luke 3:1-6

2) Malachi 3:1

“Behold, I send My messenger……..”

This refers to John the Baptist

(i) Matthew 11:7-10

(ii) Mark 1:1-4

(iii) Luke 7:22-27

3) Malachi 4:5-6

“Behold, I will send you Elijah……”

This refers to Elijah

4) Jesus said John the Baptist was Elijah

Matthew 11:7-14

Does this mean that John the Baptist was Elijah in the flesh (physically or bodily)?

5) John the Baptist himself denied that he was Elijah

John 1:19-23

By his denial, John the Baptist was saying he was not Elijah in the flesh (physically or bodily). To be Elijah in the flesh would mean that Elijah had to be re-incarnated, that is, go through the natural birth process the second time. This could not be because the Bible does not teach this doctrine.

6) Angel Gabriel told Zachariah that John the Baptist will minister in the “spirit and power” of Elijah

Luke 1:11-19

What does this mean?

7) The “spirit and power” of Elijah was not just the anointing of Elijah on John the Baptist (refer to the case of Elisha receiving double anointing of Elijah in 2 Kings 2:9-11)

There was more to this ……………..

8) More than just the anointing, the statements of Jesus implied that the person of Elijah was also present

(i) Matthew 11:14 – If you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.

(ii) Matthew 17:10-13 – Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished.

9) Puzzled Situation Explained

Jehovah God sent Elijah back to Israel, and he was assigned to John the Baptist. Wherever John went, Elijah went with him. John was Elijah’s mouthpiece. They ministered together as One Man yet they were two separate personalities.

While the world could see John with the naked eye, they can’t see Elijah because Elijah was in resurrected bodily form.
