1) Benjamin Netanyahu first became Prime Minister of Israel from 1996 – 1999.
2) His Likud Party was defeated in 1999 that led him to leave politics for the time being.
3) Then, in 2009 the Likud Party won in the election and he was again appointed as the Prime Minister of Israel for the second time. He remained as PM until 2021.
4) As things happen in politics, in 2021 the Likud led government was defeated, and was replaced by the Bennett–Lapid government. That coalition government was short-lived lasted only for a year from June 13, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The collapsed led to call for fresh national election.
5) The resulting election in 2022 saw the Likud Party won with the support of 5 other political parties; namely, Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Noam, United Torah Judaism and Shas. Of the 5 parties, the first 3 are far-right parties while the last 2 are ultra-orthodox parties. Together they form the most right-wing government Israel ever had.
Thus, on December 27, 2022, Netanyahu was sworn in again as the new Prime Minister of Israel for the third time. To date, he has been PM for a total of 15 years, the longest-term served in the history of modern Israel.
The saga of Netanyahu’s re-appointment as the Prime Minister for the third time after being defeated in the polls on two separate occasions would be remarkable in itself. However, it takes on the air of the miraculous considering the fact that the Man of God Prophet Owuor had a vision in which God showed him the Rapture will take place while Netanyahu is the sitting Prime Minister of Israel. Please listen to the audio message of the Prophet’s vision of April 2, 2004 that is embedded below.
